The trade war between US and China escalate after President Donald Trump approved 25% tariffs on $50 billion worth of Chinese goods. Trump has also accused Beijing of intellectual copyright theft. The White House has confirmed that the tariffs will apply to a total of 1,102 products and will be divided into two parts. Reports said that in the first set of tariffs, which will be effective from July 6, apply to $34bn of Chinese imports. The second set will apply to $16bn of imports, on 284 product lines.
