Hours after an anti-corruption court in Pakistan sentenced him 10 years in prison, former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who is currently in London for his wife treatment, said that he is not a thief and will come back to his country Pakistan. The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) court has also awarded 7 years and one year in jail to his daughter Maryam and son-in-law Safdar respectively in the Avenfied corruption case. Reports say that his remarks came after his wife regained consciousness.

Addressing a press conference, the Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) leader said that he came to London to meet his wife as she has been his partner for 45 years. This partnership is not ordinary, he added.
