At least 15 Afghan security personnel were killed in a Taliban attack in Kunduz province of Afghanistan, according to Pajhwok Afghan News. The incident took place at a security checkpoint in Qala-e-Zal district of Kunduz in early Monday morning. According to reports, this is the second suicide bombing in the city within 24 hours. On Friday evening, a bombing at a Shiite mosque in the Dasht-e-Barchi neighborhood claimed 56 lives. The attack comes two days after the Taliban accepted a 3-day ceasefire announced by the Afghanistan government.

In another attack that took place in Afghanistan, health officials confirm that the death toll from the suicide bombing at Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development in Darulaman has risen to 12. Wounded also up to 31.
