Two of the most-awaited features of WhatsApp — group video call and group voice call — has finally been updated for Android, iOS and Windows smartphone users. Finally, the WhatsApp users can make audio and video calls with multiple friends in their contact list at the same time. For Android users, the new update is available for WhatsApp beta version. The update will be accessible in the latest updates, which are v2.18.189 or v2.18.192. However, for the iOS users, the feature will be accessible with a simple update. A few months back, there were some Android beta and iOS users who reportedly received a group a calling update in version 2.18.52 for iOS and version 2.18.145.
For now, the group call supports a maximum of four people that can be added in a group call including the one who made the call. After getting the update, all you have to do is first start a call with a single participant, which we normally do. After that, click an option at the right corner in the video that reads ‘Add participant’. After clicking on the option, you will get a list of participants that you can add to your group call.
Notably, the interface will provide you to add only one person at a time. After all the participants accept your request, the screen will divide into four sections featuring each member in each box.
Recently, WhatsApp has come up with a number of features. From an option to delete message to check whether a text is forwarded or not, several new WhatsApp features have been helpful for the users.
Mostly, the updates are done keeping in mind the Android and iOS users, but for the first time Window’s users can also access the update. According to WABetaInfo, the WhatsApp has brought voice and video calls for Windows Phone users too. it said that the users should wait for a few days to get the update.
