To take on its rivals onePlus 6 and Honor 10, Chinese smartphone maker Vivo launched two smartphones in a row in India. To amuse its users again, Vivo on Friday launched Vivo Y83, a budget segment phone and this time with an aim to compete with Xiaomi Redmi and Samsung. Vivo Y83 was launched with 6.22-inch 19:9 “FullView” display in India at Rs 14,990. Available in a black and gold variant, you can buy the smartphones from across the stores and will also be available on Flipkart, Amazon and Vivo’s own online shopping channel, the smartphone maker said.
“We are pleased to introduce the Vivo Y83 in our Y series product portfolio with an outstanding performance and superior camera capabilities at an ideal price point,” said Jerome Chen, Chief Marketing Officer, Vivo India.
For now, only one variant which comes with 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage has been launched. In case to buy Vivo Y83 at a cheaper price, there are exchange offers and no-cost EMIs.
Coming to the specifications, like iPhone X, it has a notch on the top which holds the selfie camera and earpiece and some other sensors too. split screen feature which can be easily activated by sliding down three fingers to split the screen in two, Vivo said.
The smartphone comes with a 13MP high-definition rear camera with PDAF technology and an 8MP selfie camera. The front camera is coupled with has features like Face Access and face recognition. The rear camera is coupled with an LED flash and f/2.2 aperture.
The phone is powered by the MediaTek Helio P22 octa-core processor and its storage option can be further expanded to 256GB. The phone is backed by a 3260mAh battery under the hood.
