Chinese phone brand Xiaomi on Thursday added another smartphone to its Android line up, Redmi Y2, which the company says its the real youth phone. Xiaomi has always been aggressive in the Indian smartphone maker and a good number of people use this brand as their daily driver. the phone will go on sale from June 12 midnight onwards. However, it wouldn’t be that easy for Redmi Y2 to claim the marker in the sub Rs 10,000 range as it already has a competitor, which is Oppo Realme 1. So let’s compare how the two phones appear in terms of specifications, design, and price.
Taking a look at core specifications of Redmi Y2, the phone has Dual 12MP+5MP cameras, a 16MP front camera, Snapdragon 625 processor, 18:9 aspect ratio display for a more immersive experience. It has two nano-SIM slots, micro SD card support up to 256GB, fingerprint sensor, 3080mAh battery. Redmi Y2 will be available in three colour including Dark Grey, Rose Gold, and Gold.
While mentioning about Realme 1, has an octa-core Helio P60 processor, Mali-G72 MP3 chipset. It has both 3GB with 32GB and 4GB with 64GB option and expandable upto 256 GB. The phone has fingerprint, accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity, compass. Realme 1 has an 8MP selfie camera, fingerprint sensor, 3410 mAh battery.
Though specification wise, both the phones have almost same hardware features but Redmi Y2 takes a little edge with some unique and special features. It has AI-based beautify 4.0, face unlock, HDR automatically, AI technology which will give you a more precise bokeh effect, wider selfie angle.
Ultimately, it all depends on personal choice as both phones look good and have the premium build quality. Both the phones come at a starting price of Rs 9,999.
