Arsenal, English Football Club, has revealed their new retro away shirt and star footballers Mesut Ozil and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang endoresed it. Amid the transfer speculation of many players, Arsenal chose to reveal the away kit for the 2019-20 campaign. The new outfit is based on bruised banana theme which Gunners were used to wear during 90s and is designed by Adidas.
The new jersey has is of bright yellow colour with a zig-zag pattern. The Gunners have worn away kit 1991 and 1993 seasons by the likes of Ian Wright, Paul Merson, Ray Parlour and Kevin Campbell. This time Adidas has replaced Puma as makers for Arsenal jersey after signing a deal worth £300 million ($374m) over five years, reports said.
Ozil had switched in 2019 from Real Madrid and was criticised at that time for lack of work ethic when was out of form but now he has become a match-winner for the Gunners. Under the captaincy of Unai Emery last season, he performed a below-par, which also fuled the talks that he could be sold by Arsenal this summer to lighten the wage bill.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, winner of Premier League Golden Boot in 2018-19, also endorsed the new jersey today. Reportedly the Gabon striker is in link with Manchester United though Arsenal hasn’t unveiled the sellers.
