Rohit Sharma, who scored a record five centuries in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 has penned heartfelt message after the teams’ exit from the tournament. The Indian team’s Vice-captain shared an emotional post that read, “We failed to deliver as a team when it mattered, 30 minutes of poor cricket yesterday and that snatched away from our chance for the cup. My heart is heavy as I’m sure yours is too.”

India’s exit from the ICC Cricket World tournament was unexpected and disappointing. Many people criticized for the loss while some appreciated the men in blue. The India Vs New Zealand match was a spectacular semifinal in the history of International Cricket which took place at Old Trafford in Manchester on Wednesday, 10 July. India’s defeat at the global platform broke billions of hearts and Indian supporters slammed MS. Dhoni for being too slow and wasting balls.

Rohit Sharma, who is also the Indian Vice Captain in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 scored a brilliant five centuries in the tournament, however, missed out on a World Cup record due to India’s exit. But, the ICC Worl Cup starrer is now one of the highest run-getters at a single World Cup and holds the top spot.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma also thanked the supporters and fans who came out to cheer for the men in bkue at the ICC World Cup in England and Wales. He wrote on his Twitter handle, “The support away from home was incredible. Thank you all for painting most of uk blue wherever we played.”
