New Zealand all-rounder Jimmy Neesham seemed really dejected after the loss of his team in a nail-biting encounter against the hosts England in the World Cup final at Lord’s on Sunday. He took to the twitter on July 15 where he advised kids not to take up sports as a career option.

However, Jimmy Neesham who played for New Zealand in the World Cup final came to bat in the super overs. Neesham showed brilliant all-round performance as he scored 19 runs off 25 balls while batting in the first innings and took 3 wickets giving 43 runs in 7 overs with an economy rate of 6.14.

The 28-year-old kiwi all-rounder thanked his supporters and showed gratitude to all fans for their support. Neesham also tweeted the last half hour of the final match will be unforgettable for him over the next decade. He also congratulated the England team for winning the World Cup finals.

However, the scores were leveled after allotted 100 overs of cricket on Sunday at the iconic Lord’s cricket ground as the game shifted into the super overs but the scores tied in the super over once again. In the end, England lifted the World Cup with the help of a tie-breaker rule set by International Cricket Council(ICC). England won the match by the number of boundaries and lifted the World Cup first time in history.
