The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday filed a sedition case against the separatist leader Asiya Andrabi. Asiya is the founder leader of Dukhtaran-e-Millat, the organisation which is allegedly named in unlawful activities. As per reports, Asiya Andrabi along with 2 her aides have been sent to Delhi, where they will be produced in Delhi High Court.
A few days back, the NIA had filed an FIR against Kashmiri separatist leader for allegedly advocating and supporting the violence in the valley.
The NIA is a statement had said Aasiya Andrabi and her 2 close associates-Sofi Fehmeeda and Nahida Nasreen were allegedly advocating secession of Jammy and Kashmir from the Union of India. The investigating agency also alleged the Kashmiri leader for calling for Jihadi.
An official said, the Kashmiri leaders are running Dukhtaran-E-Millat (DEM), which is prescribed under the First Schedule to the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967.
