MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar says ICJ verdict unanimously in India’s favour: MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar on Thursday said the judgement delivered by the International Court of Justice (ICJ), at The Hague, in the Netherlands on Kulbhushan Jadhav case is a complete vindication and validation of India’s position in the case and we welcome ICJ verdict. Welcoming the justice delivered by the ICJ in the case, Raveesh Kumar said Pakistan is bound by Vienna Convention to provide India consular access to Kulbhushan Jadhav. India secured major relief for retired naval officer Kulbhushan Jadhav after the ICJ on Wednesday asked Pakistan to review Jadhav’s conviction and allow consular access. Retired naval officer Jadhav was awarded death sentence in 2017 by a Pakistani military court on the charges of espionage.

Speaking on the arrest of Mumbai attacks mastermind and Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed in Pakistan’s Punjab province on Wednesday, the MEA spokesperson said that this isn’t the first time that the JuD chief has been arrested.
