The heinous crime that took place days ago outraged the whole country and people took to streets to protest against the incident, demanding harshest punishment for accused men. Meanwhile, the 8-year-old victim is fighting for her life in an Indore hospital. NCRB reports have clearly suggested that crime against women has spiked in the state in the recent years.
The Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia also expressed his views over the shocking incident and questioned the state authorities investigating into the matter. He said that it took a lot of time to lodge an FIR in the rape case of an 8-year-old girl in Mandsaur. He further said that probe into the matter is not going in the right direction. Demanding CBI inquiry in the case, Scindia said that women don’t feel safe in Madhya Pradesh.
