Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday, during the Lok Sabha proceedings, slammed All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi for interrupting MP Satyapal Singh when he was addressing the house. During Satyapal Singh’s speech, Owaisi started interrupting him to keep his point after which Amit Shah got and angry and stood up to say Why didn’t he speak up earlier? Lashing at out Owaisi, Shah said Mr Owaisi should listen as well. “Sunne ki bhi aadat daaliye Owaisi saab,” said Amit Shah in Lok Sabha.

Both the heavyweight leaders had a verbal spat and the temperature was high in the Lower House today. It all happened during the discussion on the National Investigation Agency (Amendment) Bill, when opposition members, including Owaisi started interrupting BJP’s Satyapal Singh. Singh said then Hyderabad Commissioner was pressurised by the local leaders to alter the investigation in a particular case or he could be replaced.

He said, at that time he was the chief of Mumbai Police and was aware of everything. Retaliating to Singh’s statement, Owaisi demanded that Singh should place on table of the House all records related to his claim.
