Delhi’s Patiala High Court on Monday, June 25, sent the major Nitin Handa to police custody for next 4 days. The accused was arrested by the Delhi police on Sunday and was brought to the Patiala High Court for the hearing in Shailza Dwivedi murder case. Investigating the matter Delhi police today had detected some important clues. As per reports, the incident happened in Delhi’s Cantonment area and police has recovered victim’s cell phone, which may help to solve the case.

The body of 30-year-old deceased was found on a road near the metro stating in Cantonment area of Delhi.  As per police reports, the body was found lying in the pool of blood and Shelja Dwivedi’s throat was slit. An investigating officer reportedly said forensics has found marks and scratches on the dead and it appears that her body was run over by a vehicle.

The police have suspect that Shailza was first murdered and then crushed by a vehicle to showcase it as an accident. The police has arrested major Nikhil Handa on Sunday.  According to reports, the incident happened around 10 am, when the woman went to the Army Hospital for physiotherapy and her body was found around 1 pm.

She was later identified by her husband when he went to file a case of missing at the Delhi Cantt police station. Shailza a was first reported missing by her driver when he went to pick to her back from the hospital. While the hospital staff told that the woman had not turned up for the physiotherapy session.

Briefing the case, a senior police officer said the reason for the murder could be personal. Vijay Singh, DSP, West Delhi told media that We have solid clues about accused and the investigation is still underway.
