International Yoga Day is just around the corner and the entire world is busy preparing to mark the iconic day on June 22. There are various events and programmes scheduled on Thursday across the globe where millions will turn up and take part in the soothing physical and mental exercise. And since India is the birthplace of yoga, there are unprecedented preparations taking place in many major cities in the country.
On the eve of the International Yoga Day, Indian Air Force did the unthinkable as two of its paratroopers performed yoga at 15,000 ft up in the air.
Indian Air Force took to their official Twitter handle and shared the heart-stopping move where the instructors of Paratroopers Training School of the Indian Air Force were seen practicing yoga in the blue sky.
One was seen performing Vayu Namaskar while the other was doing Vayu Padmaasan in the air. The caption read: A unique message of good health, happiness, harmony and peace from the Air Warriors of IAF.

Elsewhere, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will mark the yoga day in Dehradun, Uttarakhand along with 55,000 participants.
Stressing on the importance of yoga, PM Modi tweeted, “Yoga is the journey from ‘me’ to ‘we’. It promises balance, calm, helps boost concentration and gives immense strength. As we approach the #4thYogaDay, I urge people around the world to make Yoga a part of their lives (sic).”

In New Delhi alone, eight mega events have been scheduled with the main event planned at Rajpath.
Some 50,000 people, including BSF, CISF and CRPF personnel, are expected to turn up for yoga event at Red Fort.
Lodhi Garden, Talkatora and Nehru Park will also see the participation of yoga enthusiasts at events organised by New Delhi Municipal Corporation.
Also, Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali Yoga Samiti and Sri Sri’s Art of Living will hold yoga programmes in Dwarka and Rohini respectively.
