The Uttar Pradesh police have registered a case against actor Sonakshi Sinha at Katghar Police station under section 420 (cheating) and 406 of Indian Panel Code (IPC). In 2018, She had taken 24 lakh for a stage performance but didn’t turn up. The police went to her residence in Mumbai, on Thursday but she wasn’t present then. Sonakshi has now responded to the allegations by releasing her official statement.
In her statement, the actor said the event organiser couldn’t live up to the expectations and is now trying to mint money by maligning her clear image. She will fully cooperate with the authorities in the investigations but would request the media not to give a mileage to his bizarre claims. Event organiser Pramod Sharma had filed a complaint against Sonakshi with Moradabad police in February 2018. In the complaint, he accused the Dabangg actor of not turning up for an event in New Delhi at the very moment after accepting booking of 24 lakhs.
Recently, Juhu police confirmed about the incident and told that they have been asked for support by the Moradabad police. The police also went to Sonakshi’s house to record the statement but she wasn’t available at that time. They will visit her place again. Sonakshi’s manager said that the allegations of the organisers are false.
Meanwhile, Sonakshi is currently working on her next film Dabangg 3 opposite Salman Khan which is a sequel of Dabangg. The actor will be seen in her latest upcoming movies Mission Mangal alongside Akshay Kumar and Khandaani Shafaknama. She was last seen in Abhishek Verman’s Kalank.
